June 2013 so far

It's school holidays in Singapore for a month.Enjoy with your kids. They are growing and we won't get back their childhood days.Keep off the books for a while and enjoy a  month with your little ones.We had  a great Start.Saturday, finished our first family race, "Amazing race" and collected the finisher's medal,
This race was held at Bedok, our neighbourhood town.though we knew a few things about Bedok, we managed to finish all the 6 stations(in Bedok alone) we were to find as a family. We took foot, bus and train to reach our final destination at Toa Payoh all the way from Bedok. This time around, I wasn't able to capture all our interesting moments as we were busy hunting for the places.

trying to give a family pose.....but oops.....

this one ok?
and finally I found this photo of our's in HDB's webpage. We were looking nice in that.So decided , I should never attempt any more self-captured poses.

looks more ok right?

getting ready for the race

at an aunty's house as part of the race.We were supposed to loacate  a place based on the clue given and once when there was surprised by given a task of hunting for a house in that locality and giving food hamper to a needy family. We didn't expect such things in a   race, but this race gave us an insight of what is around us and appreciate to God for giving us this precious life.

This is the place we won't forget for long.We were supposed to reach POSB North, but look where we landed ourself-POSB Central -all thanks to a friendly neighborhood uncle. After we realized our error(!!!!!),we had to hurry to the actual place. This was the station, that took  a  challenge.

At a food stall we had  to find in the race

at last with our finishers medal.Though we didn't manage to be in the top 3, this medal means a lot to us.It was our first family race and though hubby initially didn't want to finish off the race, he took the extra effort of sacrificing a  Saturday's sleep for  us and  we managed to complete all the stations within the deadline.
Our photos are there at HDB's webpage and you can view them at:

The same evening we headed down to Marina Bay's Lawn to attend the ultimate night-out and played Frisbee for fun.

Saw the Sunset from the lawn.Isn't Marina Bay looking fabulous......
Night view....as beautiful as sunset.....

Saw laser show at MBS which is our favourite.

Sunday I took Arshi for kite festival in Tampines.

A dash of rainbow seen behind her.A great evening to view rainbows and kites

I also managed to go for a movie with Arshi this week.I took her to "Epic".Arshi loved the movie very much.So far Arshi seems to be enjoying her holidays and hope she has her fun in India too.

Will try to blog as soon as  I come back from India.Till now blogging hasn't become an habit for me, but am trying to record interesting things that happen in Arshi's life here. Now am all ready packing our stuff for a month's holiday in India and hope we have loads of fun with family and friends there.Am eager to see Arshi's little cousin who was born a few days.Am too eager to kiss him , my sweet little boy. You have made me a "periyamma" or big aunt in English.Arshi is gonna have lots of fun playing with her grandparents, uncles, aunts and all around her , who will be pampering her even more than before.Happy holidays and will be back blogging after a short while as we don't have net connection in Indai and even if there is at my bro's house, it's too slow.I will be in an internet free world  and that's also enjoyable. No emails,Facebook  and no blogging too.Happy holiday to all.
