Chinatown mid autum deco and craft we did for mid autumn festival

Yesterday we went to Chinatown to visit temple and saw mid autumn deco .usually they light up the decos on night .As we went during day time just captured few pictures as I walked along.Really colorful and vibrant.

We also registered for diy kits from Tampines West CC for their mid autumn celebration and we received the kits delivered to our door steps this Friday and yesterday, being Saturday their video of how to make lantern ,mooncake and scented pouches was uploaded and we did these crafts in house. Ck was very happy. Arshi loved making snowskin mooncake. It was first time we made mooncake in house though we had tasted mooncakes before.

Pillayar chathurthi

This was first time we bought clay pillayar after coming to Singapore. The day before the festival we went to temple as we expected  the actual day the temple to be crowded and being amid pandemic we wanted to stay safe as much as possible. We went to Senbaga vinayaga koil and there was an Indian provision  shop nearby and we bought home our pillayar .Next day we did pooja. I also made a dough pillayar .I have been making dough pillayar last few years from maida, salt and oil and turmeric. As usual cooked special dishes for pooja and offered to Pillayar .

Few pictures taken

Banana minion

Ck was asking for doing  minions from  bananas  and infact a few days back he drew minion eyes with marker on banana and requested me to make minion. So today tried one .I know its not perfect but he loves it and I am happy he likes it .I used the inside of envelope cover for the dress. Maybe next time should try when they are perfect and not ripe as it was today .

Pebble art

We tried our hands in pebble art and it was so much fun and I tried the family portrait everyone was trying .CK too tried few and he wanted to have proper head, body, hands, legs for his .Can guess which ones he tried. Could have done good ones if we had proper round and oval shaped pebbles. Tried with what was available to us that moment.
